Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for 2021

We had a fantastic turn out of members at Wyanga Winery last Wednesday evening to celebrate Christmas and our last meeting for the year. It was also an opportunity to welcome future member Michael Li and his wife Ping  to our club.

I am certainly looking forward to a better 2021 where we can plan and meet with some certainty.

Our thoughts are with both Lesley and Carolyn. Lesley went into hospital on Monday  and Carolyn  has been diagnosed with Early Stage Breast Cancer.

Have a fabulous and safe Christmas

Our club has a great day engaging with the Waiwera community on Friday, when Lesley,Rob, Sandy, Mike , Louise and myself visited Waiwera and distributed the EGRFA hampers. It was a day for plenty of tea and coffee and long chats and a lovely Christmas Cake , thanks to Louise. The community was extremely appreciative of the work of EGRFA  and certainly appreciated the hampers.

  Waiwera Community Hall on Friday

Peter and Ian made the trip to Club Terrace on Friday to distribute hampers to that community. On Sunday Peter and myself headed to Mallacoota and distributed their hampers on  Sunday and Monday.  Every person we spoke to was enormously appreciative of the work that Rotary has done to support them since the fires. Our club is extremely proud of the contribution of Peter and the EGRFA committee. The contribution and work of Rotary isn't finished, and will continue for the next few years as communities continue to recover from the fires.

Junior Community Rotary Awards
Tuesday 15th Dec.
10:30 at St Brendans

We will be presenting certificates to 8  Brendan's Primary School  students who  managed to complete their Junior Community Rotary Award.

If you are able to come along to the St Brendan's Hall and help wave the Rotary Flag that would be very much appreciated.

Bee Hotel Workshop

My name is Carina, and I am joint Environment and Sustainability director for the Bairnsdale Sunrise Rotary club.

Our committee is planning to have a bee hotel making workshop in late January 2021.

We hope that your club would like to be included in the planning of this event.

If you have any queries, please feel free to contact me.

Kind regards

Carina Turner
President Elect Training
We do not have a President Elect for 2021/2022. I encourage all members to give this some thought as I will definitely be finishing my term at the end of June

The President Elect Training coarse will be delivered on line and will save a lot of time and expense in not having to go to Ballarat.

Please give it some thought as we do need to have a President for the next Rotary Year
